MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – It’s time to dust off your cowboy boots, as Carolina County Music Fest is just over two weeks away.

If you’ve passed by the Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place, where the music fest will be held, you might have seen the area is starting to look different. Fencing for CCMF was delivered this week and is being set up around the festival’s perimeter.

While things are starting to take shape, organizers and local businesses said there’s still a lot of work to do before the stars hit the stage.

“It’s definitely our most exciting four days of the year,” said Grand Strand Brewing Company owner, Clayton Burrous.

GSBC sits just across the street from the fest’s site, where over 34,000 country fans will soon flock.

“In all fairness, [they are] probably the nicest, most enjoyable people we serve all year. It’s just great,” said Burrous.

In order to support the fanbase, organizers for the big event, Southern Entertainment said they will build a small city. There will be power, water, bathrooms, and stages, where more than 40 of the country’s hottest artists will perform live.

Burrous said when his businesses see crews start setting up, the brewery gets prepared.

“It’s really making sure all of our staff is ready and available, and we’ve got plenty of beer,” said Burrous.

Organizers said the set will look a little different this year, as a businesses recent closure has given the venue itself a different look.

”Without the zip line, we’ll be able to increase, put a few more people in there but more importantly, we’ll be able to have some added features for our festival attendees. Our second stage is going to be a little bit bigger this year,” said Cofounder of Southern Entertainment, Bob Durkin.

While crews continue their hard setup work outside, businesses will continue their hard work inside.

Burrous said they’re ready for show-time and an influx of customers.

“They’re the nicest, friendliest, happiest, most jovial group of people, and it’s like that all four days,” said Burrous.

Grand Strand Brewing Company will have a CCMF pre-party in the evening on June 4.
