LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Two music festivals on either side of the Ohio River are going head-to-head over the weekend; not with one another, but with mother nature.

Abbey Road on the River, the four-day long Beatles-themed music festival in Jeffersonville, and the inaugural Gazebo Fest at Waterfront Park are hoping for calm weather.

Abbey Road on the River is at Big 4 Station Park and features hundreds of concerts by 50 different bands celebrating the Beatles era of rock.

Gazebo Fest features a couple of the country’s biggest hip-shop stars like Jack Harlow and SZA.

If you plan on attending, organizers say to look out for warnings about dangerous severe weather.

“You can see behind me the large screens, and that’s one of the primary ways we can communicate with people on-site if something comes up,” said spokesperson Holly Weyler. “We also have obviously a lot of speakers to talk to fans. We have an app as well that sends push notifications, and of course we always suggest everyone tune into social media.”

There are still tickets available for both events.
