Did you know Manchester, Dorset and East Dorset are home to some of Vermont’s most beautiful private gardens? Most are never open to the public but, on Saturday, July 20th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., eight of these hidden gems will allow special access to participants of the Garden Club of Manchester’s (GCM) self-guided, biennial Garden Tour.

“It is through the generosity of the owners that ticket holders can enjoy these magnificent gardens and we cannot thank them enough!” acknowledges Becky Burke, who has been spearheading this year’s tour. “We are very excited to welcome many new gardens to our tour this year and to host such a wide range of garden styles — everything from traditional cottage and modern sculpture gardens to those highlighting panoramic views, specimen plants and trees or boasting a bounty of heirloom vegetables and herbs. If you love flowers, are a gardener or a group or solo activity our tour is the perfect Vermont day out and a great way to discover what’s beyond the high gates and private road signs.”
