Nicolas Cage recently spoke out against artificial intelligence and voiced his fear of AI being used to manipulate his likeness. During an interview with The New Yorker, Cage spoke to the author of ‘The Orchid Thief’, Susan Orlean, which Cage’s new film ‘Adaptation’ is based on. The actor detailed how he had to have a “scan” for another upcoming project, a Prime Video series called ‘Noir,’ and is sceptical about how it will be used in the future. “They’re just going to steal my body and do whatever they want with it via digital AI. God, I hope not AI. I’m terrified of that. I’ve been very vocal about it,” said Cage. Cage continued, “It is [really scary]. And it makes me wonder, you know, where will the truth of the artists end up?“ The late actors Judy Garland, James Dean and Burt Reynolds have had their voices reprised by Ai audio company ElevenLabs, after their estates sold the rights to the company.
