BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – The Kentucky State Police is hosting a raffle to benefit its annual Trooper Island Camp, a summer retreat for youth held at Dale Hollow Lake, nestled at the junction of Cumberland and Clinton counties.

The camp offers a unique and enriching experience, allowing participants to engage in activities such as kayaking, archery, fishing, and swimming—opportunities that may otherwise be inaccessible to many.

“We’ll take them out there for a week and let them do all kinds of stuff,” said Katan Parker, Public Affairs Officer for KSP’s Post 3 in Bowling Green.

This year’s raffle winner will have the choice of a 2024 Mustang Convertible or $50,000.

Raffle tickets are available online for $10 each until Aug. 23.

Parker will also be selling tickets in person from July 8-10, 2024, at Walmart on Campbell Lane in Bowling Green.

All proceeds from the raffle will directly support the Trooper Island Camp, which aims to provide memorable and beneficial experiences for Kentucky youth.

Established as part of the state police’s long-range public service program, the camp’s mission is to offer a respite from the tensions and turmoil of everyday life.
